When you are planning a building project what do you look for in roofing or siding material? If you want something that is sleek and stylish as well as being easy to install, look no further than Snap Lock Panels.
What are Snap-Lock Panels?
Snap Lock Panels are sheet metal panels for either roof or wall applications that have been specially designed to conceal the fasteners needed to hold them in place. At Klassen Building Supplies our snap lock panels come in 3 different gauges, 26 gauge, 24 gauge or 22 gauge, so you can find the steel gauge that’s right for your project. They are also available in a wide range of colors, have variable widths, are available with or without interior stiffening ribs and are cut to the proper length so there is no waste on site.
How do Snap Lock Panels work?
One of the main selling points of snap lock panels is their ease of use as they have been specifically designed to allow for easy installation. The main thing that makes them easier is how they fit together utilizing a male and female leg at the edges of the panels so that the panels can be “snapped” together with applied force rather than requiring a specialized tool like a mechanical seamer. When properly installed they should make an audible snap noise when they are fit together. Also, our Klassen Snap Lock Panels do not require the use of any clips to hold the panels and come with pre-slit nail flanges so that they can be properly affixed to the roof of the building.
Snap Lock Panels offer a clean, modern look for any building project whether it is used as roofing or siding. We hope that we have been able to provide some useful insight into how these panels work.
